Delta Reign release date: prereleases start October 24, full launch November 6

Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution—Delta Reign, the next English expansion, releases on November 6, 2026. You can play it two weeks earlier: from October 24, select Play! Pokémon stores start selling the Delta Reign Build & Battle Box for prerelease events. Pokémon announced both dates on September 28.

The four prerelease promos, and how to build around them

Every Build & Battle Box includes one of four foil promos, picked at random. Each one comes with its own game plan, and Pokémon’s announcement walks through all four:

• Masquerain: the Bug Out deck. Bug Out reveals the bottom seven cards of your deck and does 50 damage for each Pokémon with Bug Out it finds. It debuted on Sizzlipede in Pitch Black, and Spinarak has it too for three Energy, but Masquerain needs just one Grass Energy. Sacred Ash shuffles knocked-out bugs back into your deck so the attack stays strong.
• Magmortar: the partner deck. Its Buddy Boost Ability attaches a Basic Fire Energy, a Basic Lightning Energy, or one of each to Magmortar or Electivire. The real payoff is Electivire: its Voltaic Hammer does 60 damage for every Energy you discard. Adventure Lantern helps you find the Fire and Lightning Energy you need.
• Enamorus: the Forces of Nature deck. Its Incarnate Solidarity Ability lets you ignore Colorless Energy in attack costs, and Thundurus, Landorus and Tornadus share it. With the full set in play, Landorus hits for 110 with one Fighting Energy, and Tornadus’s Corkscrew Dive deals damage and draws cards for free.
• Kommo-o: the Dragon deck. Its Beat Scales Ability loads Energy onto Dragon Pokémon, and its Hammer In attack hits for 170. Druddigon’s Claw Slash makes a strong second attacker because Beat Scales can attach any type of Basic Energy.

You can’t choose which promo you get, so it’s worth knowing all four before you open your box.

What’s in the box and how prerelease works

Each Build & Battle Box contains:

• four Delta Reign booster packs;
• a ready-to-play 40-card deck built around key cards from current and past sets;
• one of the four foil promos above.

Prerelease games use a 40-card deck and four Prize cards instead of the usual 60 cards and six Prizes. You combine the box’s deck with what you open, so every table plays differently. Games are quick, and it’s one of the friendliest ways for new players to try organized play. Can’t make a prerelease? Build & Battle Boxes also go on sale when the set launches on November 6.

When will Delta Reign come out in the Philippines?

Pokémon Asia hasn’t announced Philippine dates or prices for Delta Reign yet. The dates above are from the English-language announcement.

The last set gives a good idea of how it could work here. For Mega Evolution—Pitch Black, Pokémon Asia’s Philippine site ran its own Build & Battle prerelease, with an event period that ended July 16, 2026, the day before the set’s PH release. Every participant got three extra booster packs as a prize. Delta Reign may follow a different schedule, so wait for the official PH announcement.
